Mama Didn’t Raise a Quitter

I’m so glad I let myself sleep on the decision as to quit or keep going. I did a lot of thinking yesterday and what it boils down to is a few things:

1. I’ll probably never run races, marathons or be a full fledged vegetarian. I’m ok with that.

2. I don’t always make the best choices when going out to eat. I’m ok with that.

3. I don’t want to make this be a weight loss blog, but weight loss will be discussed.

So, I’m not quitting this blog. I’ve put in a lot of time and effort into it. It will probably never be a “huge” must read blog, but I like writing, cooking and taking photos of food :)

  1. I think you’ve made the right decision Jen! It doesn’t matter how much traffic you get or comments…of course those numbers are great and make you feel even better, but in the end your blog is your blog. And if it helps you and you like doing it then you should continue.

I’ll never run a marathon or be a vegetarian or eat 100% great all the time either and that’s okay. Nobody is judging! Or they shouldn’t be. :)

  2. Thank you!
I was just comparing myself to everyone else and getting discouraged all the time. Now that I’ve realized this is for me, it’s all good :)

  3. HA! I just commented on your other post. BUT YAY!

And I totally struggle with these same things, but what I’m realizing is, people actually WANT more realistic bloggers. It is hard to see a bunch of blogs about someone’s 10th marathon or meal of kale. People want realism not idealism. Be yourself and people will read. :)

  4. Realism, not idealism. That’s me!!! I eat fries ;)

  5. I just recently found your blog, and its so NICE to find another REAL person!!!! Im glad you decided to stay!
PS I eat fried chicken and french fries!!

  6. Yay!!! So glad to hear it! :)

  7. Yay! I just read the post from July 21st and was hoping you changed your mind. I’ll keep reading!

  8. Glad you’re sticking around, Jen! :)

  9. you are who you are and we love you!

  10. Just ran across your blog! I couldn’t agree more with this post. I am training for my first marathon (my couch to marathon journey), but more just for accomplishment sake… I will be a one and done. :)
